PROGRAM FOCUS: Job Training

Beyond offering a high-quality training and residential program to disadvantaged youth ages 16 to 24, the Los Angeles Job Corps also provides supportive services as a holistic approach to removing barriers for students. 

"What separates us from other organizations is our focus on the total student. Our intensive focus on structure, social skills, professional decorum in a supportive environment, helps ensure each student has the opportunity to excel. No matter where you come from, when you leave LA Job Corps, you possess life skills as well as skills appropriate for a career," states Jackie Honore, Los Angeles Job Corps Center Director. 

Key supportive services include: driver training, medical & dental, transportation services, clothing stipends, meal vouchers, soft skills including basic financial planning, Dress for Success, resume building and Student Government Association.
